I am currently post-doctoral fellow at CIRCaP. I hold a four year degree in Political Science from the University of Pisa (2004) and a Ph.D. in Comparative and European Politics from the University of Siena (2008).
My main research interest concerns parliaments and political representation: my undergraduate dissertation is a study on the self perceived role of Tuscan local councillors while my doctoral dissertation analyses the evolution of parliamentary questioning in 7 Western European countries.
Recently I got involved in the Comparative Agendas Project, where I collect data on parliamentary non legislative activites (questions, motions, interpellations etc.) and budget.
I do like studying parliaments and democratic representation but from time to time I need also some relax: then, I write on in international migrations (from 2005 I am member of the editorial staff of Dossier Statistico Immigrazione) and poverty (on behalf of Caritas di Pisa).
